This year, in Canada, predictions of 15-20% of people will experience some form of the winter blues, including anxiety, restless nights of sleep, depression, etc. It's not a fun time for many of us - add in the holiday season, and there is ample additional stress to deal with. What can we do to combat those blues?

Get outside as much as possible and breathe in the fresh air. If you are staying inside, be sure to open up your curtains and let as much light in as possible. Sit beside a window and allow the daylight to work on you.

Try to stay active. Despite how you're feeling, it's important to move as much as possible. A short walk, or even walking around your home, can do wonders.

Maintain a normal sleep schedule. Don't oversleep as that can actually add to your winter blues.

Show yourself some love and care. Regularly look at where you are and how you are doing. Treat yourself kindly and take yourself out when you can.


CAN PROPER SUPPLEMENTATION HELP?
The simple answer is yes.
